Hi! I'm Mike Sobol, a middle aged man with a longstanding dream. I want, no, I NEED to own a restaurant. I've been working in restaurant kitchens since age 14. I've been cooking professionally since I was 15. I've been a manager/sous chef/chef for other people's restaurants for the last QUARTER CENTURY and it's about damned time I worked for myself. It's the right time and the right place, and I am ready to get in to Sobie's kitchen and cook you all up some seriously delicious food. People have described my cooking as: "gourmet comfort food" "made with love", "all the flavor, only a little bit of guilt"... I believe in from-scratch cooking done right: using quality ingredients and giving every dish equal attention. I also believe in hard work and trusting my palate. I make food that makes people happy.
